Although open to the public, the Hitchcock Foundation manages the land as a preserve. Primarily trails and old, sandy roads, the area is open to equestrians, hikers, dog walkers, joggers, and horses with carriages. There are also designated hunt trails with fences for equestrians. The Town and Country Inn B&B is 5 1/2 miles from Hitchcock Woods. You must trailer your horse to the woods.
Horse boarding is $25.00 a night per horse if you are staying at the B&B. Light bedding is provided. Additional bedding may be purchased if needed.
